The Watchtower leaderships blind twisted devotion to obeying God is evil . They should be made to publish the total number of those Witnesses who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to their God Jehovah because presumably there is no other higher sacrifice a Witnesss can make.

Maybe the Gormless Body are not keen on shining a bright light on their human sacrifice policy which makes me think they are (A) too ashamed or (B) they think the bad publicity would refect badly on themselves.

It's a scandal, it's wicked and it's something they should be ashamed of. The figures should be published for all to see .

WT Elders school: Avoid black and white thinking - now look at this zebra

continuing on with my haphazard review of the recent one-day elders school..... in one of the introductory talks, the co was making the point that we can't view things merely from a black and white perspective.

many issues have "shades of gray" and we need to use discernment in such situations.. and i'm thinking "finally!

maybe he will continue on to make an actual, reasonable point!".

Moses and Aaron prayed to God and God said to them stone the lawbreaker. It's obvious Moses and Arron wanted discipline amongst the Isralites first and foremost so they came up with the " God said " idea . This would also serve as a warning to others not to break the law.

The lack of evidence for God actually speaking to them personally is overwhelming it's a bit like modern day leaders of nations saying we have God on our side. Or the Watchtower Governing Body claiming to be Jehovahs mouthpiece.

It's all just a scam.

I think Terry has identified a great truth about the JW scam the keyword here is "unwittingly"

Terry is trying to make the point that because the Watchtower religion is counterfeit unrecognisable to many from genuine Christianity people cannot see the the difference it's only when you look with discernment that you see it's a fake. Its not that people go along with the scam to fool others on purpose its just that many are taken in by it and pass it on to others by preaching etc.

The Governing Body will retire to the flood proof underground bunker but not before instructing the person manning the front door that under no circumstances are they to open the doors or give any aid or comfort to anybody in distress on the outside. The door person however will be allowed to push out the latest magazines through an inch gap in the door for a small contribution to the World Wide work.

The Governing Body will also give out instructions to the effect that as soon as the wind drops to 40 knots a team of enthusiasts will go directly to the front of the buiding and start sweeping the sidewalk.

imagine you are standing in the shoes of a person living in the year 1879.. if you were in ireland you'd have heard about an appearance of the virgin mary, st.joseph and st.john the evangelist to locals in the town of knock.. you'd have heard that an inventor, thomas edison, was performing his first experiments on something called a "light bulb.".

reading your local newspaper you'd be astonished to discover that an american aviator, cal rodgers, had actually flown clear across the three thousand miles of the american continent all by himself!

in the same year a haberdasher's son, charles taze russell, begins publishing zion's watch tower and herald of christs presence.. .

I look at the Witness Org. and think what have they achieved in all these years right from the very beginning until now what useful purpose have they served?

It seems as if they exist solely to exist unto themselves. Even their so called charitible donations go straight back to headquaters in order to perpertrate their existence. It all seems so meaningless so empty such a gigantic void of nothingness just bland excuses for their beliefs year after year they come on in the same old way and get it wrong in the same old way.

what are the JW rules once baptised??

on my other post 'thinking of becoming a jw' people mentioned that once i was baptised i would be told / given rules of what i can / cant do, things like: how i act, dress, how i can have sex with my husband??

what i can and cant eat ( according to some research ive done).

i would be really interested to hear as many of these rules now - as i think its too late after one is baptised.. i would be grateful of as many as possible about anything any topic even thouse i havent mentioned.. thanks x.

Obey blindly and give up all independant thought thats the main rule .

To be baptised into the Watchtower Organisation is not the same as a Christian baptism . A JW baptism is a dedication to a group of not very special individual men who give themselves misguided thoughts such as that they are directly controlled by God . Anybody on this planet could claim the same but the men at Brooklyn having a total grasp of unreality take it seriously and desire to rule over a group of sales persons. Before anyone gets dedicated officially they should ask themselves why am I allowing other human beings to have control of my existence and well being . Stay free and beauty surrounds you.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing incorrect knowledge is catastrophic .

Building a house without careful consideration to detail is a recipe for total collapse do not inhabit a house of cards.
